The wedding of Dawa Opamo and Abang Anade wedding

The wedding of Dawa Opamo Oboya and Abang Anade Othow was held in Sydney Australia on January 10 2009. The wedding was attended by 300 guests. Anyuaks from all over Australia attended and many friends and family came from all over the world including Dr Helen Othow and Ajulo Anade Othow who came all the way from America to celebrate with the family. There were also honorable guests including Deputy Director of Education media representative and others.

It was a beautiful ceremony which brought a few happy tears on the guests. After the church ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes the newly weds were taken by boat across the Sydney Harbor Bridge to the Reception held at waterfront Le montage. Guests were entertained with a five course menu and fine wine. The speeches were all incredible with Ajulo Anade Othow bringing joy to everyone by dedicating a few words to their late father Professor Paul Anade Othow, Father of the Groom Opamo being very articulate was great to listen to and best man brought laughter to the guests, while the matron of honor read a beautiful poem and the highlight of course being the Grooms speech.

As was quoted by guests it was the most romantic Fairy Tale wedding they have ever attended. These is amazing for everyone to see how traditional Anyuak wedding was incorporated with western touch to make it memorable. This is a very great step that these young Anyuak couple took. We wish Dawa and Abang a very happy and successful married life.
